Type locality: "Giava" [= Java, W Indonesia].

TypesHolotype: ZMH 4432 (formerly ZMH 132 or 192) 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: WAGNER (30 July 2002, pers. comm.) synonymized Oligodon propinquus with Oligodon waandersi based on an examination of the types. The locality of propinquus ["Java"] is most certainly incorrect.
