Diagnosis 
CommentType species: Orlitia borneensis GRAY 1873: 157 is the type species of the genus Orlitia GRAY 1873: 156.

Habitat: freshwater (Rivers, lakes)

Karyotype: diploid chromosome total: 50 (Bickham 1981, Carr & Bickham 1986). 
EtymologyNamed after its distribution on Borneo (Indonesia).
