Type locality: Tam-Dao (province de Vinh-yén, Tonkin, elevation 900 m), and Chapa, province de Laokay (Tonkin), à l’altitude moyenne de 1,600 m according to BOURRET (1934).

DiagnosisDiagnosis: fourth supralabial larger than the third, predominantly single subcaudals , 127–145 ventral scales. [MALHOTRA et al. 2011, Appendix G]

EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
