TypesLectotype: lost, originally ZMUH IV.108, male (K.H.K. Burmeister, 1857-1860), designated by L. Müller (1941: 198), destroyed 31 March-5 April 1945 during World War II, fide WALLACH et al. 2014: 541)
Syntypes: MLUH [burmeisteri] 
CommentSynonymy after CEI 1993, who states that Philodryas trilineatus might be endemic to Argentina. Map in LEYNAUD & BUCHER 1999 shows a distribution up to the southern border of Bolivia.

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
