Distribution	Bahama Islands, Great Inagua, maynardi: Great Inagua I., north and west coasts. Type locality: Great Inagua Island, Bahama Islands. parvinaguae: Little Inagua I.; Type locality: Little Inagua Island, Bahama Islands. uniformis: Great Inagua I., eastern and southern portions; intergrades with A. m. maynardi in southwestern Great Inagua I. Type locality: Canfield Bay, Great Inagua Island, Bahama Islands.

Etymology	Named after Professor Charles Johnson Maynard (1845-1929), zoologist, ornithologist, and lepidopterist.
