Type locality: Al Sharqiyah Sands, Filim vicinity (20°41’19.7’’ N, 58°17’41.6’’ E), northeastern Oman.

Paratypes. ZISP 28706 – 28710, ZISP 27089, CAS 251008, 251022, 251023 (Fig. 4 in Melnikov et al. 2015) 
EtymologyThe species has been “dedicated to the memory of our close friend and colleague Sako Tuniyev [1983-2015], who tragically passed away on January 5, 2015.”
