CommentSynonymie: after MCCRANIE & HEDGES 2013. 
EtymologyThe specific epithet paralepis is formed from the Greek para (near) and lepis (scale) and refers to the closely spaced tuberculate dorsal scales in this Guanaja Island endemic.
