Diagnosis
Comment	Phyllurus caudiannulatus seems to be a composite species.
Etymology	Presumbly from the Latin cauda (tail) plus annulatus (banded), referring to the pale tail bands. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
