Type locality: San Francisquito, Sierra de la Laguna, Baja California.

TypesSyntypes: CAS 400 and 402 (destroyed in the earthquake of 1906). Neotype: USNM 67398 
CommentP. lagunensis appears to be nested within P. skiltonianus in the analysis of RICHMOND (2006).
