Distribution: Not listed for Togo by Segniagbeto et al. 2012. Not in Benin fide Hughes 2013. Not in Liberia fide Senter & Chippaux 2022.

Type species: Polemon Barthii JAN 1858: 520 is the type species of the genus Polemon JAN 1858.

Phylogenetics: see Portillo et al. 2018 for a phylogenetic analysis of members of Aparallactinae, inlcuding members of Polemon. 
Etymologynamed after Heinrich Barth (1821-1865), German explorer and cartographer, and collector of the types.
