Type locality: Peru, Dpartamento de Huánuco, Palma Pampa, 3010 m elevation (9° 53’ 14’’ S, 75° 53’ 21’’ W).  
TypesHolotype: MUSM (= MHNSM) 20116, adult male, collected by Cesar Aguilar on 21 April 1999. Original field number PE 1363. Paratype: SMF 
EtymologyNamed after Monika Laudahn, a technician at the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, in honor of her contributions to herpetology.
