Type locality: Sebroeang, Bornéo [= Sebruang, West Kalimantan]  
TypesHolotype: MNHN-RA 1891.0065, a 190 mm specimen (M.A. Chaper, 1890-1891) 
EtymologyThe species is named after the Latin word collaris meaning collar (Lemos-Espinal & Dixon 2013).
