CommentNot listed in Frank & Ramus 1995. Closely related to P. talonuran. 
EtymologyNamed after Homer McNamara, a Superintendent of the La Carlota Agricultural Station in the Philippines. McNamara helped with collections on the volcano [the Canlaon Volcano, Negros]." See also Taylor’s Recollections of an Herpetologist.
