Type locality: Jebel al Akhdah, Qatana, Nizwa Wilayat, Oman.  
Reproductionoviparous (phylogenetic imputation, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesHolotype: CAS 225340 (TJP-27641), adult male collected by Theodore J. Papenfuss on 21 May 2002 (Fig. 2 in MELNIKOV et al. 2013). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A large, short-legged, grayish-brownish-olive (dark khaki) colored species of Pseudotrapelus with the 3rd toe much longer than the 4th, 14 lamellae under the 4th toe, 4 unseparated well developed precloacal pores in males, and no enlarged scales in the occipital area of the head and dorsum.

EtymologyThis species is named in honor of Jens V. Vindum, Senior Collections Manager of the Department of Herpetology, California Academy of Sciences for his great whole-life impact to managing of this collection.
