Type locality: Montagne d’Ambre, Mararaomby, Madagascar.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: A Pseudoxyrhopus with 21 rows of dorsal scales on midbody, seven supralabials, and a pale nuchal collar (from RAXWORTHY & NUSSBAUM 1994). 
CommentApparently not listed in the Zoological Record of 1894. The reference given here as original description is from the ZR of 1895 which does not indicate whether this is a new species. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
