Comment 
EtymologyThe specific epithet is a noun in the genitive case derived from the modern name Luis Aurelio Coloma-Roman, in recognition of his contributions to the knowledge of the herpetofaunaof Ecuador. Most important, Luis has made many collections of Proctoporus, including all known specimens of Proctoporus colomaromani.
