EtymologyThe name honors Dr. Tien Hsi Chu a research associate of Dr. Yatiyo Yonenaga- Yassuda of the Cytogenetics Laboratory of the Institute de Biociencias, University of Sao Paulo. For several years, Chu has patiently obtained fibroblast cultures for the chromossomal preparations ofour animals. I dedicate this species to him with great pleasure. Incidentally the species name refers to one of the diagnostic features: "elm" in chinese is red.
