Comment	Type species: Gymnodactylus mauritanicus DUMÉRIL & BIBRON 1836: 414 is the type species of the genus Saurodactylus FITZINGER 1843: 91. Key: a key to the species of Saurodactylus is provided by Javanmardi et al. 2019: 422. Subspecies: Saurodactylus mauritanicus brosseti BONS & PASTEUR 1957 is now considered as valid species by most authors.
