DistributionMexico (C Durango, adjacent parts of Aguascalientes, Jalisco and Zacatecas, Nayarit [HR 30: 110].

Type Locality: 22 mi NE El Salto, Durango, Mexico.

Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: not listed for Nayarit by WOOLRICH-PIÑA et al. 2016 nor LOC-BARRAGÁN et al. 2024 (although scalaris is). Not in Durango fide Lemos-Espinal (2018). 
EtymologyNamed for Dr. Bryce C. Brown, Director Emeritus of the Strecker Museum, Baylor University, Texas and his family, all of whom aided in collecting the largest series of this subspecies in any museum.
