Type locality: Boelawa-Gebirge, 1200 m [elevation], Celebes  
TypesHolotype: NMBA (= NHMB) 
CommentStatus unclear. This species is not mentioned in Ouboter’s review of Scincella (see references there). Müller describes in that paper another two skinks of unknown status: L. celebense and L. textum. A fourth skink described by him, L. amabile hs been synonymized with Sphenomorphus nigrolabris.
