Distribution	Ecuador (Cotopaxi, Pichincha, elevation 1460-2200 m.; Chiriboga, 5000 ft. on western slopes) Type locality: unknown (fide PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970). Restricted to Tandapi, 1460 m., Provincia Pichincha, Ecuador, by FRITTS 1974.

Diagnosis	Diagnosis: TORRES-CARVAJAL 2007.
Comment	Belongs to the clades Scelotrema and Microphractus (fide TORRES-CARVAJAL 2006).
