Type locality: Duz-Abad, E Kerman, Persia [= Duz-Abad, Saragad Region, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran, 29.50 N 60.86 E]

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Cycloid scales on back feebly imbricate, not extending beyond shoulders; about 100 scales around middle of body (Anderson 1999: 187). 
CommentDistribution: see map in Macey et al. 2005: 189. See map in SMID et al. 2014 for distribution in Iran. 
EtymologyNamed after its small scales; Greek micro-, micros = small + Gr. lepis = scale (Maggenti, 2005).
