Distribution	Mexico (Sonora, Chihuahua) Type locality: Río Mayo, Conicarit, Sonora, Mexico, 27° 14’ N, 109° 06’ W.
Reproduction	oviparous.
Types	Holotype: UU 6030 (University of Utah Museum of Zoology), mature female. Paratypes: total of 11 adult or subadult specimens from the type locality; UU 6028-29, ASU 6776, females; UU 6031, 6032, 6033, ASU 6749-52, 6775, males. Numbers marked with an asterisk indicate specimens prepared in same manner as holotype. Paratypies from Arizona State University were collected on 31 August 1966.

Etymology	Named after the Yaqui drainage of Sonora, the land of the Yaqui Indians.
