Type locality: Limestone hills near Kanburi, south-western Siam [= Kanchanaburi, Thailand].

DiagnosisDiagnosis: for a table of diagnostic characters distinguishing T. kuiburi from T. kanburiensis and T. venustus, see Sumontha et al. 2021: 322 (Tabl 4). 
CommentVenomous! Trimeresurus venustus has been considered as a synonym of T. kanburiensis and therefore many literature references to T. kanburiensis are likely to refer in fact to T. venustus. T. kanburiensis also has been confused with T. purpureomaculatus.

Habitat: partly arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
