Holotype: NMW 7880.1 [tremperi] 
CommentSynonymy: following TiLBURY 2010.

Conservation: Chamaeleo (Trioceros) tremperi Necas 1994, may be extinct as the type material being old museum specimens from the beginning of the 20th century. An intense search for the species has remained unsuccessful (NECAS 2003).
