Reproductionviviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022)

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Directly allied to Chameleo bitaeniatus ellioti, from which it is distinguished primarily by its smaller size and less uniform dorsal crest (from SCHMIDT 194). 
CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
