Diagnosis 
CommentIllustrations: Schwartz and Marsh, 1960; Greene and Burghardt, 1978; Mehrtens, 1987.

Synonymy: partly after WALLACH et al. 2014.

Distribution: the type locality reported by GARMAN 1887 is “Cuba" which is probably in error. However, SCHWARTZ & HENDERSON 1988 mention one other specimen purportedly from Cuba (AMNH 2946).

Max. SVL in males: 357 mm, females: 354 mm.
