Type locality: Port-au-Prince, Departement de l'Ouest, Haiti, and lIe de la Gonave, Haiti

hemerus: Dominican Republic; Type locality: Juanillo, La Altagracia Province, Republica Dominicana.

tiburonensis: distal portion of the Tiburon Peninsula in Haiti; intergrades with T. h. haetianus; Type locality: Camp Perrin, Departement du Sud, Haiti.  
Reproductionviviparous. 
TypesSyntypes: USNM 10164, USNM 10169.
Holotype: USNM 195838, an adult female [hemerus]
Holotype: CM 56826 [tiburonensis]
