Type locality: Lwankundu, a sub-tributary of the Kwando (BRYGOO 1985: 92); Guibé 1954: 102 provided another locality, without justification: Huilla (Angola).

DiagnosisDiagnosis: No enlarged lower labial scales, five upper labials with second entering orbit, frontoparietal and prefrontal in contact with one another [HAACKE 1997: 152] 
CommentSynonymy: following Haacke 1997 
EtymologyNamed in honour of Jacques Fernand de Rohan-Chabot (Paris, 5 March 1889 - Paris, 9 December 1958) who led an expedition in 1914 into the south-eastern part of Angola, an area which is herpetologically still unexplored. See link for details.
