A small snake of the genus Typhlops having: 1) 20 longitudinal rows of scales on anterior third of body, 18 to 20 at midbody, and 18 on posterior third of body; 2) 254 to 261 dorsal scales; 3) truncated, slightly trilobate snout; 4) complete or incomplete internasal suture; 5) generally pale dorsal coloration with few or no contrasting darker markings.
