Type locality: Brazil, Mato Grosso, Ca´ceres (168109S, 578419W).

TypesHolotype: ZUEC 1532. Paratypes: ZUEC 1528, 1529, 1531, 1533, 2092. 
Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017).

This species is one of ~20 species of Amphisbaena with two precloacal pores (Ribeiro et al. 2019). 
EtymologyNamed after Prof. Aziz Nacib Ab'Saber, a distinguished Brazilian geographer, who has contributed much to the knowledge of paleoclimates and geomorphology in midwestern Brazil.
