Etymologynamed after Arlindo de Figueiredo Béda, a zoologist, herpetologist, ecologist and taxonomist at the Department of Biosciences, Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil where he was Professor and Head of Department until his retirement.
