DiagnosisDiagnosis (budaki): “Unterscheidet sich von der südwärts vorkommenden finikensis sspec. nov. durch das längere 1. Supratemporale, die niedrigeren "Werte beim Dorsalia Index und bei den Circumanalia, sowie die kontrastreichere Rückenzeichnung mit deutlicher Tendenz zur Ausprägung zweiter heller vertebraler Tüpfelreihen; von der südostwärts vorkommenden ibrahimi sspec. nov., u. a. durch das längere 1. Supratemporale, das größere Massetericum, die niedrigeren Werte beim Dorsalia-Index, den Circumanalia und den Femoralporen sowie durch die wesentlich geringere Tendenz zur Rückenstreifung und die deutliche Neigung, zwei vertebrale Tüpfelreihen auszubilden. Über die Unterschiede gegenüber pelasgiana vgl. bei dieser (vgl. Tabelle 3 und Taf. 3: 1,2).” (Eiselt & Schmidtler 1987: 316). 
CommentSynonymy: Mostly after Karakasi et al. 2021. Anatololacerta oertzeni finikensis was listed by BELLATI et al. 2014 although these authors did include it in Anatololacerta budaki. Since the name A. budaki is not available for the clade containing finikensis (clade C in Karakasi et al. 2021), the name Anatololacerta finikensis is the next available name and has priority.

EtymologyA. finikensis was named after its type locality, the town Finike.
