Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A slender blind-snake with rounded snout, 18 midbody scale rows and nasal cleft proceeding from preocular and completely dividing nasal scale. Further distinguishable from R. diversus by more numerous ventrals. |

Etymology | Named after the type locality in Yampi Sound, north-west Kimberley. |
