Diagnosis 
CommentN. johnmeyeri is closely related to N. purpurgularis and N. pijolense.

Etymologynamed after J.R. Meyer, “in recognition of his major contributions to our knowledge of the Honduran herpetofauna and his interest in Middle American anoles.”
