Type locality: “between Moyabamba and Balsa Puerto on the river Huallaga in eastern Peru”

Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Barbour 1934 placed laevis in the synonymy of transversalis (Williams 1979).

Known only from the type specimen (POE & YAÑEZ-MIRANDA 2008).

Species groups: Dactyloa punctata species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
