Diagnosis | DESCRIPTION: Size small (SVL in males to 50 mm, in females to 42 mm); 4-6 (mode 4) rows of 10reals; 0-2 (mode 0) scales between interparietal and supraorbital semicircles; 0-3 (mode 0) scales in contact with interparietal; 3-8 postmentals; 2-4 (mode 2) scales in lateral contact with postfrontals; position of "preoccipital" (= preinterparietal) modally with many small scales; snout scales more or less rectangular and paired, with 0-4 azygous scales present. Dorsum pale gray or tan to medium brown; thin, dark interocular bar sometimes present, other head markings vague to absent; nuchal patches large and dark with faint white border; dorso-median chevrons reduced to small, dark dorsal spots or absent; dark upper lateral stripe indistinct posteriorly; lower lateral stripe interrupted and vague; venter pale yellow to off-white; dewlap uniformly olive-gray to bicolor tan with reddish center (Schwartz & Henderson 1991: 300). |
