Anolis paternus paternus: Isla de la Juventud. Type locality: Vicinity of Nueva Gerona, Isla de la Juventud, Cuba.

pinarensis: western Cuba. Tera typica: 5 km from Ciudad Sandino, Guane, Pinar del Río province, Cuba.

Holotype: CZACC = IZ 4073 [pinarensis] 
Diagnosis 
CommentFor illustrations see Hardy, 1967. Note that the actual publication says 1966 but SCHWARTZ & HENDERSON 1991 list it as Hardy 1967.

Species group: Anolis angusticeps species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
