Diagnosis | DESCRIPTION: Size moderate (SVL in males to 52 mm, in females to 46 mm); 4-6 rows of loreals; scales between supraorbitals 0-2 (mode 1); 1-3 (mode 2) scales between interparietal and supraorbital semicircles; 6 postrostrals; 6-8 postmentals; suboculars in contact with supralabials; dorsals keeled, larger than lateral scales, the median 0-3 rows enlarged (= subequal to ventrals); ventrals keeled; supra- digital scales multicarinate. Dorsum barred or striped; underside of hindlimbs, area about vent, and proximal taillight red; dewlap red to dusky red (Schwartz & Henderson 1991: 314). |
