Type locality: El Ocote, Chiapas, Mexico, 600 m elevation [=[near Ocozocoautla]

DiagnosisDiagnosis: “A small species of the genus Anolis, an adult male measuring 35 mm. snout to vent; dorsal scales distinctly but not strongly keeled, rather broad, with turned-up edges that give the scales a tricarinate appearance; dorsals distinctly larger than ventrals, about 12 to 1/2 head length (5 mm.); ventrals distinctly but not strongly keeled, about 22 to 1/2 head length; ear opening large, a little larger than interparietal; head scales flat, feebly keeled; supraorbital semicircles separated from each other by two rows of small scales, from interparietal by three rows; six loreal rows; dewlap pale red in life, unspotted; postanals not enlarged.”(Alvarez del Toro 1956)
