attenuatus: Panama, Costa Rica; Type locality: Isla Bonita, southeastern slope of Volcán Póas, Costa Rica, elevation 5500 ft.

TypesHolotype: AMNH 62647, adult female; in the American Museum of Natural History; collected in Feb.-Mar. 1936, by F. E. Lutz and W. J. Gertsch, while members of the late Mr. W. C. Wood's Panama trip.
Holotype: KUMNH No. 34257; paratype: KUMNH No. 34256 [attenuatus] 
Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies: Anolis woodi attenuatus has been elevated to species status by FITCH et al (1976) but considered as synonym of Norops woodi by KÖHLER 2000.
