TypesHolotype: MZB Lace. 175a. 1 ex, male, from North Kalimantan, by Mohari, in 1912; Paratypes: MZB Lace. 175b, 3 ex, sex undetermined, same data as for the holotype; ZMA.RENA [Japalura nasuta DE JONG 1930] 
CommentThis species has a distinct protrusion on its snout (acutirostris and fusca have only a small or no protrusion).
