Types	Holotype: WAM R34325, Collected by W. J. March on July 13, 1969.
Diagnosis	Diagnosis: Smithi is unique in the genus Aprasia in possessing a jet black head (including the throat) and tail-tip (Fig. 34). (Kluge 1974)
Comment	Limb morphology: Limbless.
Etymology	named after Lawrence Alec Smith (born 1944), Australian herpetologist and former assistant of Glen M. Storr.
