Reproduction	oviparous.
Types	Lectotype: MSNG/CE 30987b, an adult, collected by Leonardo Fea on 1900.
Diagnosis
Comment	Similar species: Boaedon lineatus (from which this species was resurrected by Ceriaco et al. 2021). Synonymy: for a more detailed synonymy see Ceriaco et al. 2021.
Etymology	Named after Jacques von Bedriaga (1854-1906), Russian-born herpetologist.
