Diagnosis	Diagnosis: BAILEY 1928: 38
Comment	Hybridization: KÖHLER & BLINN (2000), GUTSCHE & KÖHLER (2004), and SCHULTE (2007) present evidence for natural hybridization of C. bakeri and C. similis. Diet: C. bakeri has been observed eating other lizards including I. iguana and Hemidactylus frenatus [DIRKSEN & GUTSCHE 2006]. Distribution: Does not occur on other islands such as Santa Elena, Bonacca I, Roatan I (L. DIRKSEN, pers. comm.) Type species: Ctenosaura bakeri is the type species of the subgenus Loganiosaura KÖHLER et al. 2000. Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017).
Etymology	named after Frank Baker, former superintendent of the National Zoological Park in Washington, DC, where the holotype and paratype lived just prior to their death and the subsequent description of the species.
