Type locality: Chaksam Ferry, Tsangpo Valley (elevation: 12500 feet), Tibet.  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesType: BMNH 1946.8.23.41 (and possibly additional specimens). 
Diagnosis

Phylogeny: C. tibetanus represents a divergent clade within Cyrtodactylus (WOOD et al. 2012, Agarwal et al. 2014). 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
