ingoldby: widely in the Sulaiman Range extending into Waziristan Hills, along western border of Punjab, Pakistan; Type locality: “Ladha” (= Ladha, Dera Ismael Khan District, southeastern NWFP, Pakistan).

kachhense: Pakistan (Sind, Cutch, Balutschistan); Type locality: Ladha, Dera Ismael Khan. SE North-Western Frontier Province, Pakistan.

watsoni: Pakistan (Northwestern Frontier Province); Type locality: Quetta.

DiagnosisDiagnosis (ingoldbyi): Medium sized angular toed gecko with trihedral dorsal tubercles sides of which are bowed-in on large flattened basal plate with sharp median dorsal ridge keel; 14-16 interorbitals; 32- 40 scales across midbelly, 149-156 scales in a line from suture between first pair of postmentals to anterior anal lip; 4-6 preanal pores, no femoral pores; an additional ventro-lateral row of subtrihedral caudal tubercles extending almost to the mid tail; 2-3 lateral cloacal tubercles; divided subcaudals, three rows to a segment [KHAN 1997]. 
CommentSynonymy: Gymnodactylus ingoldbyi Pricter 1922 has long been synonymized with Cyrtopodion scaber and C. watsoni. However, study of the new material from Sulaiman tracts, along western border of Punjab, Pakistan has proved the validity of Gymnodactylus ingoldbyi and established it as a northern race of Cyrtopodion kachhensis.

EtymologyNamed after Kachchh, a local name in India, even though the type locality is in Pakistan (Mikaili & Shayegh 2011).
