Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy partly that of PETERS & OREJAS-MIRANDA 1970, who also synonymized Herpetodryas nuchalis PETERS 1863 with D. dendrophis.

Type: location unknown fide PETERS 1960.

Type species: Herpetodryas dendrophis SCHLEGEL 1837 is the type species of the genus Dendrophidion FITZINGER 1843.
