Type locality: Khao Soi Dao National Park, Canthaburi, 13° 1' N, 102° 2' E, 300 m elevation

Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Somsak Panha, a zoologist and Associate Professor, Biology Department, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
