Diagnosis 
CommentType Species: Diplometopon zarudnyi is the type species of the genus Diplometopon NIKOLSKY 1907.

Distribution: See map in SMID et al. 2014 for distribution in Iran and map in Burriel-Carranza et al. 2019 for map in UAE. 
EtymologyNamed after Nikolai Alekseyivich Zarudny (Zarudnyi) (1859-1919), a zoologist, traveler, and ornithologist.
